Description

Janssen EMEA Market Access is looking for talent to expand capabilities in turning data into evidence using statistics and advance R-shiny based tools to effectively support HTA submissions across the EMEA region.

  • Building advanced R shiny applications to efficiently support evidence generation activities of market access analytics and health economics modelling teams

  • provide input into the concept, design and architecture of new applications

  • write, review and improve R code using git practices

  • document processes to stay on track of code development

  • ensure overall quality, accuracy and performance of the tools.

  • Creative in proposing ideas and solutions to meet business needs

  • Contribute to performance optimization on different levels (frontend, backend, RStudio Connect infrastructure).

  • Maintaining and extending existing available Shiny applications with advanced functionalities and visualizations - make efficiency improvements where possible.

  • Provide training on the use and configuration of shiny applications.

  • Perform analyses and configure shiny applications to be used in different studies across therapeutic areas.

  • Keep updated with state-of-the-art methodology in line with guidelines from EU HTA bodies and new developments in statistical methodology and outcomes research.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or PHD degree in (applied) statistics, epidemiology, econometrics, health economics or related field with strong methodological and statistical/quantitative background – Candidates with limited working experience or recently graduated/graduating soon will be considered as well.

  • Advanced hands-on experience with statistical programming in R with good knowledge of R packages such as flexsurv, survival, ggplot2, dplyr, tidyverse, data.table, shiny among others.

  • Highly experienced in developing R shiny applications with the use of shiny modules.

  • Advanced knowledge of R markdown

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent troubleshooting, project management and communication skills

  • Excellent knowledge and hands on skills in applied statistics and data analysis methodology.

  • Experience in analyzing real world outcomes research/comparative effectiveness based on registries, or administrative/EMR databases in a pharmaceutical environment is a plus.

  • Analytical creative mind-set with can-do attitude, intellectual curiosity, eager for continuous learning passionate about translating data into business-critical evidence.

  • Ability to communicate advanced analysis plans and results in non-technical terms to a non-statistical audience.

  • Ability to work independently as well as to collaborate in a multidisciplinary regional team and to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

  • Good written/oral communication skills, Fluent in English.
