Associate Development Engineer Thermal Systems (f/m/x)

Description

This position offers you exciting product development activities in Battery Thermal Management with insights to common water-glycol systems as well as advanced cooling systems. What to expect:

  • Responsibility for mechanical & thermal design with focus on system integration of thermal components in automotive assemblies.

  • (Experimental) investigation of heat transfer and fluid flow for thermoplastic components.

  • Creative prototyping activities for battery cooling components.

  • Define and create internal design and process standards for thermal components.

  • Continuously improve design tools for thermal fluids parts, which accelerate product development activities in costumer projects.

  • Constantly interact with internal and external partners for Design Verification Plan (DVP), Quality and DFMEAs.

  • Actively support the ideation process and IP related activities.

Qualifications

What you need to succeed:

  • A technical University Engineering Degree with a strong focus on thermal fluids and heat transfer

  • Preferably good background knowledge on HV-batteries

  • Preferablywork experience in automotive with hands-on experience in designing, testing and simulation of thermal systems for electrified powertrains

  • Additional knowledge in: Labview/1D simulation/Ansys Fluent & Discovery or similar is advantageous

  • The ability to think analytically and a hands on approach

  • Fluent in English and German language skills

  • Key competencies such as managing ambiguity, customer focus, drive for results, strong interest in self development, an ability to learn on the fly and interpersonal savvy
