We are seeking an exceptional software professional to work as a member of our firmware team. As a member of the firmware team, you’ll be involved in the development and maintenance of the software that powers our robotic fleet, including embedded Linux, computer vision, navigation, obstacle detection, motor control, WiFi, and more. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Proficiency in programming in C

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

  • Experience developing on an embedded Linux system, and ideally development with Yocto

  • Experience developing for a bare-metal microcontroller

  • Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: C++, Rust, Python, Matlab

  • Experience in any of the following areas: Computer Vision, Motor Control, 802.11 WiFi stack, AWS IoT (or similar technology)
