Hiring for the 2nd shift , hours are Monday - Thursday from 3pm to 1am with training to be on the 1st shift for approximately 3 to 6 months, hours are Monday - Friday from 7am to 3pm.

SUMMARY :

OperatesCNC machining centers/mills, CNC turning centers/lathes,and hand operations, by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities, but not limited to the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Will include, but not limited to the following areas:

Perform change overs and operate work centers as instructed by the Production Team Leader.

Setup and operate drill presses, hones and other hand and power tools.

Look for and suggest improvements to processes and operations to the Production Team Leader.

Seek assistance from a CNC Lead Setter when production issues arise.

Monitor quality per ISO work instructions.

Perform tool offset adjustments and tool changes as needed to maintain required quality of parts.

Pack parts properly to prevent damage during transportation to next operation.

Create Documents Change Request (DCR) using kbox when needed to correct or upgrade process documentation.

Interpret blueprint and job specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.

Perform inspections and tests to ensure parts meet the quality dictated by associated technical documents.

Operate equipment per written instructions.

Read and operate inspection equipment to ensure a quality product at all times.

Assigned work area, tools and gauges will be clean, and kept neat, safe and orderly at all times.

Follow all company policies and procedures and applicable laws.

Will work overtime as requested by supervisor.

Recognize and comply with all safety rules. Hearing and Eye protection will be worn when required.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS :

TRAINING / SAFETY REQUIREMENTS :

Employees must complete general safety training such as Right to Know (includes: Hazardous Communication, Emergency Response Plan, AWAIR, and Forklift & Pedestrian Safety) annually. The employee must follow the rules stated in our safety policies and programs including but not limited to the Shop Safety rules. The employee is to report any unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, near misses, illnesses, and injuries to their supervisor immediately.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED.

LANGUAGE SKILLS :

Ability to read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent).

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Ability to read blueprints and precision measuring tool/instruments. Ability to operate a computer and have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
