A well-known company is seeking a Payroll Clerk to fill a challenging position. A Payroll Clerk position has opened up at a dynamic company in the Construction/Contractor industry, which Accountemps has partnered with. This position will require a variety of duties such as data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. A candidate should be able to effectively communicate with both internal team members and outside customers as part of this dynamic, fast-growing team. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is based in the North Las Vegas, Nevada area and is a long-term temporary employment role.
How you will make an impact
Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Run and build custom reports
Perform basic clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc
Organize data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Craft and deliver training to employees on the use of proper payroll practices, including timesheet entry and online methods of accessing pay statements
Distribute and administer reports as instructed
Communicate with organization employees via a variety of channels to obtain approvals of timesheets
-Previous construction experience preferred
Previous payroll experience required
Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
Microsoft Excel experience required
Weekly Payroll experience preferred
Proven knowledge of Worker's Compensation Claim
Worker's Compensation experience
Full Cycle Payroll experience desired
Deep understanding of Check Runs
Well-founded grasp of Job Cost
Practical knowledge of American Contractor
General familiarity with Construction Industry
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Payroll software experience suggested
Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
