Job Description
Performance Contracting is seeking a Project Engineer for its PCI Sacramento operations based in North Highlands, CA. This individual will provide project management support to commercial projects and the following scopes: specialty walls, acoustical/specialty ceilings, drywall, and cleanrooms. This individual will also be responsible for the following duties:
Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance.
Prepare RFI’s and submittals.
Quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders.
Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen.
Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation.
Support the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program.
This position is safety-sensitive.
Salary range: $71,700 - $95,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.
Requirements
Basic Requirements:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a construction management role (e.g., Project Engineer, Field Engineer, Project Manager)
Professional construction experience with at least one of the following scopes of work: drywall, acoustical ceilings, cleanroom scopes
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline, or comparable work experience
OSHA 30 certification
Ability to travel/temporarily relocate based on project needs
Minimum Requirements:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
A clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawings
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught
Customer service skills, such as able to work with customers and build strong relationships
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask
Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative
Works well under pressure and deadline
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with commercial interior construction preferred
Experience with semiconductor and pharmaceutical projects is preferred
Expereince with rigging is preferred
Local to the Sacramento area
