Wells Fargo Senior Data (Java/Spark) Engineer in NORTH BRUNSWICK, New Jersey

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Big Data Engineer in Technology as part of the Technology for the Chief Operating Office (TCOO) group. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives within Technology and contribute to large scale data processing framework initiatives related to enterprise strategy deliverables

  • Build and maintain optimized and highly available data pipelines that facilitate deeper analysis and reporting

  • Review and analyze moderately complex business, operational or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors

  • Oversee the data integration work, including developing a data model, maintaining a data warehouse and analytics environment, and writing scripts for data integration and analysis

  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead teams to meet data engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of data information policies, procedures and compliance requirements

  • Collaborate and consult with colleagues and managers to resolve data engineering issues and achieve strategic goals

  • Your primary responsibility will be to design, build, and data pipelines using spark and Kafka.

  • You may also be required to evaluate existing data solutions, write scalable ETLs, develop documentation, and train staff

  • Meeting with the development team to assess the company's big data infrastructure

  • Designing and coding Hadoop applications to analyze data collections. Creating data processing frameworks. Extracting data and isolating data clusters

  • Testing scripts and analyzing results

  • Troubleshooting application bugs

  • Maintaining the security of company data

  • Creating data tracking programs

  • Producing data modernization development documentation

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Hadoop developer or big data engineer

  • 2+ years of Advanced knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem and its components

  • 2+ years of Building data pipelines, data migration experience is needed.

  • 2+ years of In-depth knowledge of Hadoop, Hive, spark, shell scripting, Kafka. Knowledge of cloud technologies, MongoDB

  • 2+ years of experience in CDP, HDFS, Hadoop, Data Pipeline, Kafka, Spark, Scala,or HIVE.

Desired Qualifications:

  • High-level analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Good project management and communication skills

Salary Range: $100,800 to $179,200
