Job Summary The Dispatcher is responsible for tracking inbound & outbound freight and maintains fleet performance and inventory records. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Monitors & records all inbound and outbound freight weights & properly updates status board. Inputs all fleet related data and generates required reports. Responsible for performing all lab analysis; inputs and records all data for corporate office. Maintains lab consumables and equipment; keeps lab area clean. Performs plant office functions and assumes responsibilities of Office Manager in his/her absence. Responsible for answering and dispatching all incoming office telephone calls. Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations. All other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED equivalent. One (1) year prior experience in an office, lab, and/or transportation environment. Preferred Qualifications Basic math skills; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers. Good computer skills. Good communication skills; able to follow oral and written directions. Ability to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. Physical Demands Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch. Frequently must push, pull, move or lift up to 25 lbs. Regularly required reach with hands and arms. Work Environment Job functions will be carried out in a plant and office environment which requires tolerance for high heat and/or cold temperatures.
