Job Title: Facilities Technician 5 (Shifts)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities Technician to join our team, specializing in HVAC systems. The role requires operational maintenance of HVAC systems to ensure safe, efficient, and effective operations. You will be responsible for protecting and improving the value of our client's assets and ensuring the HVAC systems continue to function as intended.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance and continuous operation of all HVAC-related building systems, including mechanical, HVAC controls, related electrical, and temperature controls systems.

  • Identify and document maintenance objectives, incorporating preventive, corrective, and reliability maintenance procedures.

  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of HVAC-related building systems and maintenance processes, including CMMS systems.

  • Identify and remediate safety hazards within the building to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Implement, administer, and manage a safety training program.

  • Provide leadership in driving Reliability Centered Maintenance best practices.

  • Provide customer interface and support.

  • Partner in planning and scheduling optimization.

  • Assure document management quality.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory laws and guidelines related to building infrastructure operations.

  • Assist in the development of a Capital Plan for infrastructure upgrades, equipment replacements, and building modifications.

  • Oversee major projects ensuring proper planning, execution, and closeout in accordance with industry standards.

  • Maintain all infrastructure and compliance documentation for the building, including up-to-date drawings and mandated regulatory compliance documentation.

  • Oversee contractor activities within the building, ensuring they are informed and knowledgeable about the building's critical functions and work to be performed.

  • Keep detailed records of building rounds, readings, HVAC logs, and data sheets.

  • Ensure client Critical Facility Work Authorization, safe work permits, JHAs, LOTO procedures, and all safety and compliance-related documentation are well understood by all relevant parties.

  • Manage contracted maintenance staff and vendors.

  • Perform additional job duties as requested.

Essential Skills

  • Associate Degree in HVAC discipline or equivalent work experience.

  • 5 years of facility-related work experience, including customer service, leadership, and supervisory experience.

  • Demonstrated technical expertise in facility-related systems.

  • Certification as a Universal Technician for CFCs or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

  • Working knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office and CMMS systems.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working in BioPharma or Pharmaceutical industry preferred.

  • Preventive maintenance experience.

Work Environment

This role operates on a third shift schedule from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, Monday through Friday. The work environment includes maintaining and operating HVAC systems in a facility setting, where you will utilize various technologies and equipment. Safety and compliance are paramount, and the role requires adherence to all regulatory guidelines.
