Job Description:

  • Employee is responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations which may include skilled hand work or utilizing automated production equipment. Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, terms and documents. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

    Essential Functions:

  • Assemble various mechanical devices using drawings, work instructions, operation sheets, and / or schematics.

  • Perform trouble-shooting tasks as required.

  • Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation

  • Present objective evidence to Quality Assurance that tasks were completed to all specifications.

  • Observe industry best practices for FOD, ESD, and material handling controls.

  • Ensure that all shop instruments used are within calibration due dates.

  • Fabricate shop aids and fixtures, as required.

  • Set-up and operate various pieces of shop equipment as required to accomplish assembly tasks.

  • Mix and apply various sealants and adhesives and ensure shelf-life integrity.

  • Promote and facilitate lean manufacturing principles within an environment of continuous improvement

    Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 2 years of prior related experience.

  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance if required.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in a manufacturing assembly environment.

  • Mechanically inclined.

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $51,000 - $68,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
