Job Description/Essential Functions:

Our East Norriton, Montgomery County program is seeking a dedicated professional to fill the following opening. Rehabilitation Counselor -On-Call Rehabilitation Counselors provide direct support, counseling and supervision of all assigned residents to ensure a safe, healthy, secure and pleasant environment, which promotes growth and development as a member of the CRR programs in Montgomery County. Facilitate client growth and development toward independence in self-care, daily living skills, socialization and community living. Participate in the development of the individual service plans and related documentation and document resident progress as they move through the service delivery system. Receives direct supervision from the Program Manager.

Purpose: * To provide direct support, counseling and supervision of all assigned residents to ensure a safe, healthy, secure and pleasant environment, which promotes growth and development as a member of the CRR programs in Montgomery and/or Lehigh County. * To facilitate client growth and development toward independence in self-care, daily living skills, socialization and community living. * To participate in the development of the individual service plans and related documentation and document resident progress as they move through the service delivery system. Supervision Received: * Receives direct supervision from the Program Manager. Supervision Exercised: * N/A

Job Qualifications:

Qualifications: * A.A. degree in the Social Sciences Healthcare or a related field and at least 1 year of relevant experience in the MH/MR field; or any combination of experience, education or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required. . Demonstrated crisis intervention/prevention and de-escalation skills required. * Proficient communication skills, both oral and written. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Some knowledge of the mental health system and supports. * Required to possess a valid drivers' license with an acceptable driving record.

Scope: * Frequent talking and listening. * Requires the ability to lift carry, fold, kneel, reach, stack, stoop and bend which may include direct intervention with residents. * Possess manual dexterity and fine motor skills. * May require crisis intervention in emergency situations. * May be required to report to work during emergencies including inclement weather.
