Description

We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a diligent Logistics Coordinator in Norfolk, Virginia. This role will be instrumental in coordinating and managing logistics operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites to manage, analyze, and present data related to logistics operations

• Providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders

• Handling customs documentation and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations

• Overseeing the process of deliveries to ensure timely and accurate dispatch and receipt of goods

• Collaborating with freight forwarders to arrange and manage shipments

• Maintaining accurate records of export shipments and coordinating with customs brokerage for clearances

• Ensuring all shipping documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner

• Implementing strategies to improve quality of service, productivity, and profitability within the logistics function.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a logistics coordinator role or similar.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites.

• Demonstrated customer service skills.

• Familiarity with customs procedures and regulations.

• Experience in managing deliveries and associated documentation.

• Proven track record in export customer service.

• Experience in handling export shipments.

• Knowledge in freight forwarding and customs brokerage.

• Prior experience in shipping procedures and regulations.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

• Excellent organizational and coordination skills.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Detail-oriented and able to work with high accuracy.

• Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred.
