Corporate Communications Manager

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and in office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

The Corporate Communications Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the internal and/or external corporate communications plan for a business unit, reporting to Corporate Communications department.

How You Will Make an Impact

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Leads the research of communication needs and establishes goals and objectives.

  • Researches, develops, reviews and/or edits communications materials for senior management.

  • Serves as senior editor of corporate and/or online communications and coordinates with online team in posting of appropriate messages.

  • Partners with leadership to develop and implement a strategic communications plan in support of the SBU/CEE's overall initiatives.

  • May be responsible for obtaining bids to ensure cost effective spending on department programs or initiatives.

  • Provides guidance or direction to team members on departmental projects.

Minimum Requirements:

  • a BA/BS in public relations, journalism, communications or related area; 7 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • MS preferred.

  • Knowledge of managed care and the health insurance industry preferred.
