Job Description
Danfoss Climate Solution is looking for a Senior Software Developer in our R&D department.
Are you interested in becoming a key member of an international team, developing software for embedded systems? The Development team is part of the Electronic Controllers and Services group within Danfoss Climate Solutions - a leading supplier to the refrigeration and air-conditioning industries. Job Responsibilities
Software development with focus on quality and customer applications:
Your primary responsibility will be to design, maintain and improve sub-systems and modules and implement them using C/C++. Touchpoints with Python for automated test. To this end, you will cooperate closely with your colleagues in designated DevOps/Scrum teams, ensuring that applications and/or systems meet standards and customer requirements. More specifically, you will:
Design, code and integrate software for an embedded Linux target.
Develop software primarily using C/C++ Develop systems based on ARM MPU/MCU multi core system architectures.
Collaborating with external partners – consultants, customers, IT departments.
Interact with Linux kernel, Yocto framework, and integrate new software components.
Improve and maintain existing software components.
Ensure security in products and the software is up-to-date with the latest technologies.
Perform test, verification and validation of the components developed.
Ensure a high level of quality in the products.
Platform based development.
Background & Skills
You have solid knowledge within coding software and preferable experience with collaboration with external design houses. You possess excellent coding skills in C/C++ and experience in developing/reviewing and debugging libraries, docker containers and communication drivers like MQTT, Wi-Fi, BACnet and Modbus RTU/IP. Maybe you hold a Master’s degree in computer science or a related field. If you have knowledge about Linux frameworks and experience working with bootloaders, frameworks and multi-processor/multi-core systems, it will be an advantage. You have more than 3 years’ experience with software running on Linux.
You have solid analytical abilities and a positive and open attitude to cooperate across borders and cultures in an organization where we all help each other. You come with a natural talent for translating business requirements into a scalable, resilient and secure product. Moreover, you are able to communicate both technical and business matters in a clear and concise language.
