ACI Worldwide Corp. Senior Systems Engineer in Norcross, Georgia

ACI Worldwide is looking to fill one Senior Systems Engineer position based out of its Norcross, Georgia office located at 705 Westech Drive NW, Norcross, GA 30092 (may telecommute part of time from home residence within Atlanta, GA metropolitan area). Job Summary: Implements, configures and plays a lead role in the design of complex systems for internal and external customers. Assists in performing analysis on existing systems as well as system maintenance. Determines system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identifies, analyzes and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions. Job Accountabilities: Provides production centric architectural and operational oversight for the development of new or enhanced services and/or products. Engineers, configures, and assists in the architecting of complex technical solutions for applications/systems implementations and upgrades based on specific business requirements. Solutions may be new, existing, in-house, third party or a combination. Researches and evaluates new technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within the company's products. Assists in the formulation and execution of test plans for Proof of Concepts. Performs day-to-day and complex system administration and monitoring tasks for assigned systems. Works with internal and external customers and vendors to resolve technical system problems in a timely manner with a primary focus on complex problems. Supports development, QA and product teams by providing high-level analysis and AOD environment based design reviews, performance, scalability and benchmark test guidance, and subject matter expertise in technology and design. Perform other duties as assigned. Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors Degree (foreign equivalent accepted) in computer science, engineering, computer information systems, or a related field and 6 years progressively responsible experience in an information technology related occupation. Experience must include the following specific experience and skills:

  • 6 years production IT engineering experience to support a large-scale system including hands-on experience with Tanzu, Ansible and Kubernetes.
  • 3 years infrastructure management experience including bare metal server management, deployments, and OS provisioning using skills such as Containerization and Kubernetes skills with one of the common tools like Jenkins, Teamcity, GitHub, and GitHub runners.
  • 2 years experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus or Grafana.
  • 2 years experience in KAFKA, Messaging Queues and strong knowledge of Linux operations.
  • 2 years hands on experience with Azure cloud platform.
  • Professional experience with Persistent Volumes Claims, Ingresses, CRDs on Kubernetes.
  • Strong background in software engineering, with expertise in any programing languages like Python and Bash scripting.
  • Knowledge of software processes, environments, tools and methods.
  • Strong knowledge of designing, building, and operating Tanzu Cloud Computing applications with emphasis on Kubernetes, Helm and networking.
