[**[Purpose of Position: [[Serve as a member of the village health service team in a supporting role, assisting with the electronic health record documentation process for Community Health Aides, verifying patient records for completeness.

  • Assist Community Health Aides in the use of the electronic health record, respond to questions and assist with problem-solving
  • Review patient records to determine if there are any deficiencies that need to be corrected before forward for coding and billing
  • Assist the health aides with compliance and medical records information
  • Work closely with the coder and billers to resolve issues when they arise
  • Promote teamwork and participate as an active member of the team
  • Adhere to established procedures and display professional demeanor to effectively interact with staff, providers and team members
  • Assist in monitoring and active follow-up of documentation and charting deficiencies to support CHA Staff and HIM in the continuous accuracy and completion of the medical record
  • Perform other duties as assigned
