Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

The Supply Chain Innovation Product group focuses on building a product to address complex Supply Chain challenges with suppliers and implement other complicated processes. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the product innovation efforts within Cloud Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Design & develop front-end applications and frameworks including middleware APIs.

• Hands-on component design, coding and unit testing.

• Work closely with the product PM’s, product architect and other engineers to disambiguate requirements, provide detailed architectural design and drive to deliver.

• Identifying dependencies and technical challenges and finding solutions to overcome through attention to detail and clear communication both verbal and written.

• Willingness to learn new technology and function in a constantly evolving startup environment.

Qualifications

Required Qulaifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

o OR equivalent experience.

• 1+ year of Azure Service knowledge (Microsoft Entra ID authentication, App Services, Kubernetes, Functions, Message Eventing), Azure DevOps and SQL/ NoSQL databases.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 11+ years of software design and development experience with frontend, middle tier and backend services.

• 8+ years hands on experience in any Object-Oriented coding language such as C++, C#, Java or Python or equivalent experience with C. Cloud and services experience; Azure cloud experience.

• Strong design and problem-solving skills, with a strong bias for architecting for performance, scalability, security, and reliability.

• Ability to communicate technical details clearly.

• Growth Mindset with a desire to learn, a tendency to embrace challenges, persist in the face of setback, see failures as essential to mastery, learn from criticism and find lessons and inspiration in the success of others.
