Oracle Database supports most demanding mission-critical customer requirements, operating at global scale to provide a secure, distributed, multi-tenant data platform for structured as well as unstructured data.

In this role, you will be working with customers who need a high volume, high velocity, high variety data platforms as well as have data sovereignty/residency requirements.

As a member of the product development team, you will understand customer requirements, help them create and implement global database architectures for their applications on-premise and cloud, unblock them for any potential blockers during implementations, work with development teams to identify any product gaps.

This is your opportunity to be a core part of the team that defines and delivers exciting new capabilities for Oracle’s flagship Database.

You will coordinate efforts between cross-functional teams to develop best-in-class capabilities. You will work with Product Management, QA, Documentation, Support and at times directly with customers.

The right candidate will possess a strong software engineering background, an ability to work backwards from the customers and will have experience in helping customers to succeed. Maturity, a customer-centric mindset, ability to influence and analytical talent are essential to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers, partners, sales, support teams to ensure successful product adoption by customers

  • Creating demos to showcase product capabilities for customers as well as teams inside oracle.

  • Collaborate with Dev, QA and documentations teams.

  • Proactively identify and resolve risks and issues that may dent customer’s ability to execute

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience for customer facing data platform products

  • Attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously

  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast paced environment

  • Must have

  • Hands-on Experience with Databases including Database Administration, DB internals, testing critical Security and Database fixes.

  • Strong Core DBA Skills DB12c / DB18c / DB 19c / DB 21c / DB 23c including RMAN, Data guard, and Real Application Cluster (RAC), TDE TDE (Transparent Database Encryption) and Goldengate

  • Big Data platform experience with structured and unstructured data. Proven experience of using SQL & NoSQL datastores like MongoDB, Cassandra etc.

  • Experience with writing and publishing technical white papers.

  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases

  • Experience with Massively Parallel Processing systems

  • Experience with technologies like high availability, backup/recovery, disaster/recovery

  • Troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Internet scale applications

  • Experience in Oracle Database Sharding

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

  • Experience in Kubernetes and Python.

  • DevOps exposure and knowledge of tools such as Terraform, Ansible
