General Summary:

Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan and implement server components/microservices based on feature requirements

  • Participate in design review, requirements clarification, code review and other project related discussions

  • Technical documentation - design, implementation, service, release notes, user guides, etc.

  • Co-ordinate with other teams for system integration, validation and deployment

  • Debugging/troubleshooting of issues, unit testing

  • Enhance and maintain existing set of server components and tools

  • Support QA/DevOps teams in feature functionality and debugging

  • Work with cross-functional geographically distributed teams

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Required Skills:

  • Software design/development experience in at least one of these programming languages – go, Java, C++ Understanding of OOPS concepts, Software Fundamentals, DevOps processes

  • Databases/data stores – Postgres, MySQL, Redis, SqlLite, RDS

  • Cloud services – AWS, Azure

  • Experience in developing large scale systems using microservices architecture

  • Familiarity with DevOps processes and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Terraform, Datadog

  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Python

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of wireless positioning technologies using 4G/5G/GNSS/WiFi

  • Development experience in scalable distributed server systems/services on Linux

  • Familiarity with telecommunication protocols
