GE Vernova Lead Engineer – Steam Turbine Auxiliary System Design in Noida, India

Job Description Summary

As a member of the Steam turbine Auxiliaries Systems design, you will be an active contributor to the designing and sizing of auxiliary systems and creating specification of the main equipment and components, technical follow-up with vendors and making sure that equipment and systems are delivered with highest level of quality, on-time and with full compliance to codes and standards and contract requirements.

Job Description

Your Role/Responsibilities

  • overall design of the Turbine Auxiliaries Systems (e.g. lube oil system, control oil system, sealing steam system, drain system) and ensuring its safe design by participating in functional safety studies

  • issuing process flow diagrams, P&IDs, System description, electrical load list, piping interface list and BOQs

  • creating technical specifications for purchase of equipment and technical follow-up with suppliers, from the request for quotation phase to the commissioning phase on-site.

  • creating the steam turbine power train in a 3D model (PDMS / E3D).

  • Machine foundation design, modelling of the outline, with all required openings and trenches, embedded steel parts and anchorage.

  • Piping design for gland steam (MAW) and internal turbine drains (MAL), lubrication (MAV) and hydraulic (MAX) oil, as well as seal oil (MKW) and generator cooling system (MKA & MKG).

  • General arrangement drawing and foundation outline drawing

  • Foundation Embedments Manufacturing and Assembly drawings.

  • Piping isometric drawings and parts lists and Piping support drawings

  • Interface clarification with condenser and main steam piping

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in Power/O&G Industry

  • Basic knowledge in following engineering disciplines : layout & arrangement, electrical design, instrumentation and control,

  • Detailed knowledge of power plant water/steam cycles

  • Good knowledge of Steam Turbine Product,

  • Good Knowledge of 3D Plant Design by PDMS

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to travel extensively in support of assignments

Desired Characteristics

  • Proficiency in Steam turbine generator auxiliaries operation

  • Tendering & Project execution experience

  • Advanced degree in Mechanical/Energy Engineering

  • Excellent communications skills - both verbal and written

  • Strong interpersonal and responsive skills
