Imbibe Maintenance Custodian in NILES, Illinois

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Custodian to join our team and ensure the cleanliness, organization, and functionality of our facilities. The role involves a combination of custodial duties, minor maintenance tasks, and collaborative efforts to maintain a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 10:00am - 7:00pm

Hourly Pay Rate: $20-23 based on experience + comprehensive benefits package (Medical insurance, PTO & Sick Days, Paid Holidays, Retirement plan)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Sanitization: Perform routine cleaning tasks, including restrooms, common areas, and specialized zones, to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.

  • Maintenance Assistance: Address minor maintenance issues promptly, such as replacing light bulbs, fixing minor plumbing problems, and ensuring equipment functionality.

  • Presentation: Keep lobby, vestibules, and outdoor spaces clean to create a positive first impression.

  • Groundskeeping: Maintain the exterior premises by removing debris and garbage, contributing to a tidy and inviting outdoor space.

  • Equipment Care: Regularly inspect and maintain cleaning equipment for efficient operation.

  • Restocking: Restock all necessary supplies in restrooms & kitchens

  • Meeting Support: Assist in post-meeting cleanup for smooth operations.

  • Backup Support: Provide assistance during colleague absences to ensure tasks continuity.

  • Collaboration: Work with teams to address facilities-related needs and ensure a cohesive workplace.

  • Warehouse & Mechanical Room Organization: Keep the warehouse area & mechanical rooms clean and well-organized, facilitating easy access to stored items.

  • Occasional Tasks: Undertake occasional physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy items and shoveling snow, as needed.

     

    Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Prior experience in custodial or maintenance roles preferred.

  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Effective communication skills for teamwork and task coordination.
