    Job Description Summary:

    Responsible for properly executing security duties on assigned shift, administering first aid and emergency medical attention to customers and associates on property, as required.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Provide excellent guest service to both internal and external guests.

  • Actively supports the company culture of creating a fun and entertaining experience for internal and external guests.

  • Attends to the medical needs of customers and associates on assigned shift.

  • Verifies, on a regular basis, that all first aid kits on property are well stocked, and re-stocks same, as necessary.

  • Maintains appropriate inventory control of such items as oxygen, wheelchairs, first aid supplies, and related office supplies.

  • Becomes familiar with hazardous materials used on property, and all applicable laws, rules and regulations governing same.

  • Identifies potential safety hazards and reports same to the appropriate individual, for proper resolution.

  • Attends safety meetings as needed.

  • Facilitates the flow of information by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.

  • Generates necessary written reports regarding security-related incidents involving customers, Associates and/or the facility.

  • Acts as a Dispatcher during emergency situations, and coordinates solutions to same, informs outside agencies of any unusual or suspicious situations on property.

  • Escorts and observes customers and Associates to ensure their safety and protection, identifies potential safety hazards and report same to the appropriate individual for proper resolution.

  • Operates company vehicles as directed to do so.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of the Company’s facilities, as well as special events on property, in order to advise customers and fellow Associates of same, whenever possible.

  • Interacts with customers and Associates in a positive, professional manner.

  • Ensures a maximum level of customer service and satisfaction throughout the property is achieved and maintained.

  • Assists Security Department with money fills and escorts, as needed.

  • Ensures safe transportation of company moneys, assists in the opening and closing of the gaming floor.

  • Maintains a series of keys, accessing locked areas as necessary.

  • May be designated as officer-in-charge to function as a supervisor for a shift.

  • Accepts identification from all persons who appear to be under the legal age, to ensure compliance with state and federal gaming regulations.

  • All other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    High School diploma or GED required. Minimum of one-year experience as an Emergency Medical Technician highly preferred.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

    Must have successfully completed a nationally recognized course for Emergency Medical Technicians and must have passed a national registry examination. Must be a New York State licensed Security Guard or willing to be licensed prior to employment.

    SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    Knowledge of, and experience with, closed circuit television equipment preferred. Minimum of two years in law enforcement, surveillance, or related area highly preferred. Must possess excellent observational and communication skills. Must be able to detect any schemes or cheating activity aimed at the company or its’ guests.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of situations. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
