JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

The Recreation Attendant is responsible for various recreational activities, including the bounce houses and waterslide. Supervising children and guest while playing on the water slide and in the bounce houses. The Recreation Attendant is also responsible maintaining the cleanliness of each of the 3 bounce houses as well as the pool area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

•Provides excellent guest service to both internal and external guests.

•Actively supports the company culture of creating a fun and entertaining experience for internal and external guests.

•Clean out any water or dirt from each of the bounce houses when you first arrive for your shift.

•Ensure the area surrounding the bounce houses is a safe at all times for children.

•Supervise the children playing and ensure that there are no more than 7 children in either bounce house at any given time.

•Ensure all children are behaving appropriately and following the rules while in the bounce houses

•Ensure the area surrounding the pool and water slide is safe at all times for children and guests.

•Supervise the children going down the water slide and ensure that there are no more than 1 child going down the slide at a given time, making sure the pool area is clear before allowing the next person to go down.

•Operate cash drawer

•Ensure all children are behaving appropriately and following the rules while in the pool area by enforcing rules and regulations.

•Cleans, maintains, and positions pool furniture.

•Distributes and picks up dirty towels and places them in the correct bin.

•Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED required. Previous child care experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
