Tioga Downs Casino Resort Poker Room Supervisor in Nichols, New York

$1000 SIGN ON BONUS

Tioga Downs is hiring a professionally experienced Poker Room Supervisor who will accurately administer and oversee the operations with casino regulations and procedures in the Poker Room. This Supervisor will create strong relationships with guests and ensure integrity and customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide superior guest service, positively effecting interactions with external and internal guests and team members, displaying professionalism and resiliency in dealing with difficult guests in all types of business conditions while working harmoniously with co-workers.

  • Assume overall responsibility for the effective gaming service activities for a designated area.

  • Verify all gaming table transactions in supervised area.

  • Inspect cards and other gaming equipment prior to play to ensure compliance with all regulations

  • Maintain constant awareness of activities of all games in assigned locations in order to observe and act appropriately in the event of any suspicious or irregular activity.

  • Monitor and track player rating activity according to average bet, length of play and ensuring the proper information is entered into the casino management system to record player history

  • Open and close games in assigned area, verifying count as provided by Dealer.

  • Control and direct games in progress by monitoring and providing assistance and dealer coaching and correction.

  • Interview, hire, and train associates. Plan, assign, and direct work. Appraise performance, reward and discipline associates, address complaints and resolve problems

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience dealing in a high volume Class III Casino environment required.

  • Professional experience with and clear understanding of the rules and regulations of NYS Gaming Commission as well as Casino procedures

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor effectively while monitoring the integrity of the casino operations.

  • Must have knowledge of basic strategy and rules for all games supervised.

  • Strong business acumen and general computer skills with the ability to accurately monitor and enter players’ data into the Casino Management System

The Casino is open between 9AM-3AM 7 days/week. Night, weekend, and Holiday availability is necessary for this position.
