Tioga Downs is hiring Line Cooks in our Buffet, Coasters and PJ Clarke's. The Line Cook is r esponsible for the preparation of all foods during an assigned shift, in accordance with the Company’s specifications and standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Cooks are responsible for preparing, seasoning, finishing, and garnishing all food in kitchen preparation in accordance with established recipes.

  • Cooks follow all recipes and control procedures.

  • Cooks assist in all areas of food production as needed.

  • Cooks are responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary area at all times in full accordance with State Health Regulations.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.

  • One year experience as a cook or cook’s apprentice in a large, full service hotel or restaurant preferred.

  • We will train on the job!

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The Associate frequently is required to stand, crouch and walk. The Associate is frequently required to lift up to 25 lb., and occasionally required to lift up to 50 lb.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    The Associate regularly works around mechanical moving parts, heat sources and walk in coolers/freezers.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

    The County Fair Buffet operates between 5AM - 11PM, 7 days per week. Coasters operates between 11:30AM-2:30AM, 7 days per week. Because we serve Casino guests, availability on nights, weekends, and holidays may be necessary for this position.
