Tioga Downs Casino Resort Lead Buffet Line Attendant in Nichols, New York

Responsible for the presentation of all foods utilized on buffet line, ensuring the efficiency of the line on a scheduled shift is completed in accordance with Company specifications and standards and cleanliness of work area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Communications liaison for line attendants to back of house Cooks.

  • Monitor the line to ensure food is filled per guidelines, temped and the space is clean.

  • Ensure guests have an exceptional experience by maintaining the line to company standards.

  • Relay guest compliments and/or complaints to management in order to reduce waste, increase revenue and increase customer service.

  • Train new buffet line attendants on job duties and to fit with our company culture.

  • Performs as a team member with Lead Line Cooks, Line Cooks, Dishwashers, Supervisors, Chefs, Servers, Utilities, and pertinent company Associates in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation on a scheduled shift.

  • Ability to carve meats and prepare desserts, Salad Bar items as needed.

  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary area at all times in full accordance with State Health Regulations.

  • All other duties assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises line attendants on a daily basis. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training associates, planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of three months’ kitchen experience required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. The Associate regularly works around mechanical moving parts.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
