    JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

    The Food Runner is responsible for delivering menu items to all tables in an efficient, courteous and professional manner displaying a high standard of customer service.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

    •The Food Runner is responsible for prompt, efficient and courteous service of food and beverages to restaurant customers in accordance with venue standards.

    •Performs necessary tasks to deliver food items from the kitchen to all guests seated in the restaurant and bar areas.

    •Monitors customer needs on a continual basis ensuring all requests will be promptly fulfilled.

    •Demonstrates superior product knowledge for all food and beverage items available to our guests

    •Retrieves food items from kitchen and professionally delivers to guests, utilizing seat numbering system, so that the runner delivers correct items to all guests without having to ask.

    •Retrieves beverage items from bar or service station and professionally delivers to guests, utilizing seat numbering system.

    •Assists front servers in coordinating bussers’ activities to ensure excellent service and maximum table turns.

    •Performs as a team member with venue Hosts, Supervisors, Food Servers, Bus People, Bar Staff and Kitchen Staff in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    High School diploma or GED required. Previous a’la’carte, and or team food runner or server experience preferred.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The Associate frequently is required to stand and walk.

    The Associate is frequently required to lift up to 25 lb.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Live or recorded entertainment may increase the noise level.
