JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the successful overall coordination, administration and direction of all Food & Beverage activities on property, in alignment with the Mission and Objectives of the Company and in full accordance with all Operational Policies and Procedures, Gaming Regulations and Alcohol Beverage Control.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises, trains, counsels and evaluates all subordinates.

  • Ensures compliance of all subordinates to both company and departmental policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for creating developing and implementing an effective strategy of organization within the Food & Beverage Departments, setting objectives for the future growth and expansion.

  • Formulates, administers and enforces departmental policies and performance standards.

  • Participates in setting marketing policies and goals designed to attract customers.

  • Ensures departmental compliance with applicable Federal and State laws governing food and beverage.

  • Reviews property wide and departmental associate concerns discussing needed changes and potential solutions.

  • Coordinates all activities relating to recruitment, interviewing, testing, selection, orientation, transfer, promotions, and terminations to ensure that they are carried out in accordance with established company policies and procedures and Federal and State laws.

  • Reviews and approves as appropriate, all recommendations and suggestions to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, promote discharge, evaluate, assign reward, or discipline all Food & Beverage Associates of the Company.

  • Maintains appropriate staffing levels in the Food & Beverage Departments, by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, promoting, assisting with career development, disciplining, and terminating Associates as needed.

  • Responsible for conducting staff meetings with Venue Management ensuring all company policies and procedures are communicated properly to all associates.

  • Ensures the quality of management operations in all areas of the organization.

  • Establishes performance and profit objectives for short–term and long-term goals.

  • Reviews departmental reports, addressing potential conflicts and/or misinformation.

  • Facilitates the flow of information throughout the property, by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled departmental meetings with all Food & Beverage Management.

  • Oversees the general operations of the Food & Beverage Outlets.

  • Develop and communicate standard operating procedures, establish standards of customer service, manage budgets, approve expenditures and provide leadership to staff.

  • All other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises the activities of F&B and indirectly supervises the activities of all divisions within those Departments.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Hotel and Restaurant or Business Management, or related area preferred. Must have two years Food and Beverage Management experience in the Casino or Multi Venue Hospitality Industry.
