Sales Engineer - Automotive & Industrial Automation
Location: Nicholasville, KY

Reports to: Sales Manager


OVERVIEW:
A global engineering company specialized in Automation and Industrial Automation solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Engineer to join the team. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between the company's automation technology and the specific needs of customers.
You will work closely with the sales team to identify and qualify new opportunities within the industrial automation landscape, develop and deliver compelling technical presentations showcasing the application of automation solutions with the engineering teams, and ultimately close deals.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO:
* Identify and qualify new sales opportunities in the automation and industrial automation sector, focusing on the automotive and supplier industries.
* Develop and deliver impactful technical presentations showcasing your in-depth knowledge of automation solutions and their application within industrial settings.
* Collaborate with the sales team to effectively close deals and drive revenue growth.
* Provide technical support and expertise to customers, ensuring they understand and maximize the benefits of automation offerings.
* Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and trends within the automation and industrial automation industry.
* Contribute to the development of new sales strategies specifically tailored to the automation and industrial automation market.
* Other duties and projects requested by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; or a combination of relevant experience and education that demonstrates equivalent knowledge and skills.
* 2+ years of experience in sales engineering, with a strong track record in automation and industrial automation solutions, ideally within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
* Demonstrated technical expertise in automation technologies, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotics, and industrial networking protocols.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively translate complex technical concepts for a non-technical audience.
* Strong relationship-building skills, fostering trust and collaboration with potential and existing customers.
* Proven track record of success in closing deals within the B2B (business-to-business) sales environment.
