WestRock Company Finishing Operator Trainee in Nicholasville, Kentucky

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for all finishing machine operations they are assigned on their shift/machine.

Perform quality checks on the product they produce and materials coming to their machine

Provide a clean/safe working environment to themselves and employees in their work area.

Perform make-readies

Perform preventive maintenance and upkeep on production equipment.

Keep department in specs within all 5S requirements

Each person, regardless of role or position is responsible for Food Packaging Safety and Quality

Execute job duties in a safe and efficient manner

Report to management any issue or event that poses a risk to employee safety, the environment and facilities, or food packaging safety and quality.

Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and instructions to the best of your ability

Participate in continuous improvement activities, corrective actions, and training.

Safely operate motorized pallet jacks.

Other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed:

  • GED/High School diploma required

  • Ability to read materials to understand and apply content, such as instruction manuals, procedure manuals or assembly manuals
