Insight Global CLEARED Software Security Advisor in Niceville, Florida

Job Description

Insight Global is currently seeking a Cleared Application Security Engineer to join a government contract at Eglin AFB in the Florida panhandle. In the role you will be responsible for assessing security tools, assisting with vulnerability assessments, developing security training and guidance, and providing subject matter expertise on architecture, authentication, encryption, and systems security for in-house software applications. The current environment focusses on securing code at the end of the SDLC and in this role you will create new procedures for the program in an effort to review and secure all code early in the development life cycle. You will be responsible for defining what this process will entail and best practices for the team to adopt. This position will require you to be on-site.

Skills and Requirements

* 5+ years of experience developing code with an emphasis on Software Security for C++ / C# Applications for a DoD customer or contractor

o Experience with RMF security controls

o Experience developing Security Flows

* Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain upon joining

* Experience manually reviewing code for security errors

* Strong experience with SAST, DAST, OSA, and secure software supply chain

* Experience performing database patches

* Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, etc)

* Experience integrating security assessments remediation measures in a CI/CD pipeline

* Experience with CheckMarx, SonarQube, and any other app security analysis tools * Active Security+ certification

* Hands-on experience creating a policy and procedure to secure code early in the SDLC null
