We design, manufacture, and install a complete line of custom closets, home office furniture, media systems, wall-beds, garage cabinetry and more. We desire motivated, organized, caring individuals who have a passion to provide outstanding craftsmanship and superior customer service. To ensure our continued growth and unprecedented success, Closets by Design is looking for an energetic and self-motivated individual to join our Operations team as a Production Lead Hand. This job will eventually lead to a Production Supervisor Role as we are continuously growing. What you bring: * A Positive Attitude * 3 years relevant experience in the melamine/woodworking industry preferred including lead hand experience. * Previous experience working with CNC and woodworking machinery Preferred * Ability to work in a deadline driven environment. * Result orientated, Delegation, Problem Solving, Planning, and Process Management. * Ability to maintain speed and accuracy against established targets. * Demonstrated leadership and good written and verbal communication skills. * Health and Safety knowledge and experience preferred. * Must be flexible in hours to overlap shifts Responsibilities: * Support the Production Manager in maintaining production requirements * Supervise the daily activities of production employees, ensuring the most efficient use of all equipment and processes to meet on time delivery and quality requirements. * Work with the production manager to make sure preventive maintenance on the machines is performed as per the schedule * Maintain a healthy, safe, and team-oriented work environment and make sure safety procedures are followed * Collaborate with team to ensure production plans are understood and followed and production targets are met. * Ensure that all Quality System policies and procedures are adhered to. * Proactively assess and address the training needs of team members (health & safety, production process, products, etc.) * Enforce and adhere to company policies as applicable. * Other responsibilities as assigned by the production manager
