Niagara Falls. Heart, Love & Soul. Gateway Coordinator. Up to $45,000/year.
JOB SUMMARY
The Gateway Coordinator's primary responsibility is greeting, scheduling, and directing guests of the Daybreak program to available services. This position is the key contact person and resource for guests throughout their time at Daybreak.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Reception and Engagement * Communicates clearly and simply with guests in a positive and welcome manner * Manages intake/reception and check out process * Schedules and manages service appointments over telephone, in person, and via email * Answers questions via phone, in person, or email about services provided and how guests can access them * Greets and directs visiting service providers and volunteers to the space(s) they are utilizing * Answers and directs telephone calls * Receives and organizes messages and mail for staff and guests * Record Keeping * Keeps records of client interactions in assigned data systems * Utilizes and manages scheduling software to organize guest services * Honors guest confidentiality, HIPPA and other regulations as identified
Other * Attends and participates in regular staff and community meetings as assigned * Attends seminars and workshops as identified * Participates in agency wide special events such as holiday programming, Project Connect Niagara, etc. as requested * Other duties as requested by supervisor which may include occasional evening or weekend responsibilities
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES * Previous experience in hospitality, social work or related field * Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially with those experiencing mental illness, substance use, and/or with a significant trauma history * Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through * Computer and phone literacy * Preferred experience with database utilization such as a Customer Relationship Management system, Electronic Medical Record, etc.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS * High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree or higher preferred in related field with two-plus years of experience handling similar duties preferred * Must have own transportation and valid driver's license
ERGONOMIC REQUIREMENTS Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, standard lifting (50 pounds), carrying, some repetitive movements. All of the ergonomic requirements must be performed without significant risk of injury to oneself or others, or otherwise demonstrate or explain how one can perform essential functions listed above.
