To provide support to Newville Distribution Center to correct, change, repair, design, and maintain site equipment and facilities. These responsibilities must be done with attention given to safety, production schedules and requirements.

Shift: Overnight 6p-6a

Position Detail – Responsibilities

  • Perform daily checks, maintain, analyze, troubleshoot and repair all distribution and facilities equipment.

  • Enter, track and perform analysis of machine data for execution of corrective actions for improvement.

  • Adhere to developed SOP’s / checklists for PM’s, CM’s, TPM’s for best practices of maintaining facilities equipment.

  • Respond to trouble calls.

  • Enter all machine information into designated work order system.

  • Use ladder logic and motor control circuits to troubleshoot and repair plant equipment.

  • Assist maintenance leadership to ensure that PM’s / CM’s / TPM’s are executed efficiently, effectively and on schedule by auditing and optimizing process.

  • Be willing to participate and contribute in several of our facility programs, such as SEAL, Housekeeping, Safety Committee, etc.

  • Act as first responder in facility emergencies.

  • Compliance with all safety standards and regulations and perform all duties in a safe manner.

Position Detail – Key Qualifications

  • High School Degree or equivalent.

  • Vocational/Technical School certificate (Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Electricity) plus 2+ years’ experience in a similar industrial environment which includes electrical and machine repair, installation and troubleshooting.

  • Broad depth of experience and knowledge of production machinery and equipment.

  • Proficient in troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic systems facility and material handling equipment.

  • Demonstrated experience of repair/troubleshooting of auxiliary equipment such as conveyors, wrappers, material handling equipment, etc.

  • Must be able to read mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics, prints and service manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment.

  • Understanding of PLC programming basics.

  • Familiar with troubleshooting / repair of PLC, I/O logic, AC/DC drives.

  • Ability to make machine parts on lathe and milling machine.

  • Fabrication and welding skills.

  • Excellent people and communication skills, both written and verbal. Must possess professional demeanor when communicating by e-mail, radio, telephone, meetings and in person.

  • Must freely share knowledge & skills with other personnel.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve

  • Team player; flexible in accepting work assignments

  • Ability to work any shift and over time as needed; other maintenance and/or facilities projects as assigned.

  • Considerable physical effort lifting and moving material or objects that are average weight continuously and heavy weight material or objects frequently

  • Ability to walk long distances and stand up to 10-12 hours

  • Able to bend, stretch, and reach low and high places frequently and work in awkward positions

  • Climb stairs and step ladders (anywhere from 2 step up to 9 ft)

  • Operate forklift and scissors lift

  • Lift light weight objects or material overhead occasionally

  • Pass a depth perception eye exam and medical questionnaire

  • Ability to work in high places of 35-40 ft. and look up to high places by bending neck
