Responsibilities:

AmeriHealth Caritas is seeking a practice-oriented Application Architect to join mission critical Enterprise Document Management (EDM) team. In this role, you will use your knowledge and leadership of software computing to architect, design, and code solutions that execute on AmeriHealth’s document management system. As part of this highly innovative team, you will help to shape the next generation of the batch file processing model in cloud and the future of enterprise document management landscape. You will be using the future technologies of cloud services (Azure Function, Azure Batch, Azure Storage, etc.), Microservices, Kubernetes, etc. in combination with the current on-premises technologies such as Macess/EXP, .Net/.Net Core, and SSRS reporting. You will be a critical part of the future of Healthcare IT at AmeriHealth Caritas. Your enthusiasm, technical depth, and excellent presentation skills will help decision-makers understand the benefits of our solutions to drive operational efficiency and success of the company.

  • Demonstrate thought leadership in Cloud and system integration across multiple systems and business domains and become a trusted advisor to decision makers.

  • Work with Enterprise Architecture, Security Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Architecture, and the Dev/Ops team to define the architecture of the document management systems and integration framework on cloud or in hybrid mode.

  • Design and delivery of first of a kind solution. Turn commonly used solutions into solution templates. Help with prototyping and development, and guide solutions through to launch.

  • Re-engineer complex legacy batch applications and turn them into new cloud solutions that follow industry best practices and realize the benefit of high scalability, high availability, self-healing, and strong security.

  • Maintains a customer-focused approach by working with cross-organizational technical teams for architecture design and implementation.

Education/Experience:

  • At least five (5)+ years’ experience with any clouds and cloud applications, preferably Microsoft Azure.

  • At least five (5)+ years’ experience with frameworks or languages like C#, .Net, .Net Core, Java, Spring Boot, and/or Spring Cloud.

  • At least five (5)+ years’ experience with Enterprise Application Integration and scheduled batch file processing.

  • At least five (5)+ years’ experience with application architecture or development using .Net Core.

  • At least two (2)+ years’ experience with CI/CD integration in cloud or hybrid modes.

  • Experience with a document management system is a big plus.

  • Experience with a container management Platform such as Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, etc. is a big plus.

  • Knowledge of all phases of the software development cycle for large-scale business critical applications in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

  • Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") goal, the roadmap to achieve it, and the interim business values during the execution of the roadmap.

  • Excellent analytical and technical skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.

  • Previous experience in the healthcare domain preferred.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • .Net Core 3.1/5.0, Entity Framework 5.0, NLog/Log4net, ADO.Net, C#/.NET, SOAP Web Services, nUnit, MSTest, xUnit, RESTful API, SQL/T-SQL/PL-SQL, LINQ, Entity Framework, SSRS, SQL server,

  • Swagger, YAML, JSON, XML/XSD, XSLT/XPath, GIT, Jenkins, Mavern, Groovy, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio.

  • Azure solution architect certification preferred.
