Team Lead – 3rd Shift

We are looking for a dynamic leader to join one of the top manufacturers in Catawba County. This direct hire position will oversee up to 25+ associates in a climate controlled, cutting-edge automation and general assembly environment. Our ideal candidate will be a coach and leader who will help elevate safety standards, reduce turnover, improve quality, meet budgets, and enrich the culture and overall professional development of each associate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver KPI’s, business strategy, and people strategy in area(s) of responsibility.

• The leader and the team shall ensure standardization across their area of responsibility (policy,

procedures, standard work, etc.).

• Provide servant-based leadership to Team Leaders and set/deliver cultural standards.

• Directly coaches Team Leaders and maintains a physical presence on the shift, including

activities such as:

o Walk the floor with incoming/outgoing Group Leaders, Cross Functional Engineers,

Team Leaders to address safety, quality, productivity issues.

o Complete leadership standard work and checklists

o Ensure key communications, escalations, and business information is flowing to and

from your teams.

o Review production priorities with Team Leaders

• Manage the performance of team employees with the appropriate recognition and feedback.

• Plan for employee training, development, and cross-training.

• Handle disciplinary problems, disputes, or conflicts.

• Assist the team, engineering, other processes, and management to ensure customer and

business requirements are met.

• Ensure that correct process control and associated documentation is utilized.

• Troubleshoot equipment and processes within your trained skillset and according to policy.

• Responsible for communication and enforcement of Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality

policies and procedures

Formal Qualifications:

• Five years’ assembly/machining manufacturing experience in ISO 140001, OSHA 180001 and

IATF 16949 environments required.

• Previous leadership experience Specific Functional Competencies, Knowledge and Skills required

Desirable Qualifications:

• Excellent people leadership skills

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Work well under pressure and maintains composure

• Associates/Bachelors Degree in Operations, Engineering, or similar applicable focus

Functional Competencies, Knowledge & Skills

• Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office

• Timekeeping system knowledge (UKG Dimension)

• Presentation skills.

• Communication skills

• The ability to prioritize and work under pressure

• Analytical problem-solving skills and corrective action facilitation
