Bright Horizons Manager, IT Systems Monitoring in Newton, Massachusetts

What you will be doing:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Systems Monitoring Manager to oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's network, systems, security and application monitoring. The IT Systems Monitoring Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and optimal performance of our network, security systems and applications. This role involves leading a team of network and security operators and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless monitoring services.

Network Infrastructure Management:

  • Implement, and manage the organization's network operations center, including network, security and application monitoring tools.

Performance Optimization :

  • Monitor network performance and proactively address issues to maintain high availability, low latency, and efficient utilization of network resources.

Security Enhancement:

  • Implement and enforce network security protocols and best practices to safeguard sensitive data, prevent unauthorized access, and mitigate potential security threats.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of network monitoring operators, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluation to ensure a high level of technical expertise and operational efficiency.

Hiring new staff members .

Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:

  • Investigate and resolve complex IT incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

IT Monitoring Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of monitoring tool configurations, diagrams, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and troubleshooting.

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

  • Participate in business continuity planning to ensure IT systems resilience and data availability in case of disruptions.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Infrastructure, security, and applications, to align monitoring strategies with business objectives and support the implementation of new tools and applications.

Technical Expertise:

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously enhance the organization's network capabilities.
