Statement of Purpose This position will work a variety of Materials Management functions within the supply chain to ensure that the overall process runs smoothly. They may work in purchasing, contracts, shipping, receiving, inventory, distribution, invoicing, value-analysis or any area of supply chain management within the hospital. This includes tracking inventory and orders as well as forecasting future supply needs. Job Requirements Three plus years\' experience as a Buyer, Purchasing Agent or Inventory/Warehouse staff, preferably in a hospital environment. An Associate degree in a related field is preferred but not required. Knowledge of computer applications as related to Materials Management functions, including data base management and inventory control systems. Familiarity with Excel and Word preferred. Detail oriented, self-starter, with excellent time management skills, able to manage overlapping projects, keep track of deadlines, and efficient use of their time. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills for interaction with all levels of hospital staff, that will result in a positive work environment and strong customer relations both within and outside the hospital. Special consideration given to: Certification in Purchasing, Production and Inventory Control, or Supply Chain Management, a Black Belt and/or Six Sigma certified, Lean Certification.
