Job Description:

Electronics Technician Maintenance II

Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as an Electronics Technician Maintenance II supporting Government on-site Repair Facility. GDIT is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team, with the ability to perform a wide range of electronics / maintenance technician tasks primarily involving electronics systems used on Navy Submarines.

The Electronics Maintenance Technician will perform a wide range of hands-on tasks related to the assembly, integration, and test of electronics circuit boards, systems and associated cabling/harnessing. The Electronics Technician will be supporting a government program on site working both independently and on small teams on projects that may include maintenance and repair of components, circuitry, boards, and systems.

Required Experience: 1+ years of related experience

Required Technical Skills:

  • Perform assignments of various types using equipment and/or test fixtures.

  • Training with experienced electronic technicians on specific equipment requirements

  • Performs recurring work independently; work is reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions.

  • Following specific instructions, assembles or constructs simple or standard equipment or parts; and may service or repair simple instruments or equipment.

  • Conducts a variety of tests using established methods.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of electrical safety, AC/DC power systems

  • Must be proficient with basic hand tools (ie: power screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, etc)

  • Physical requirements – must be able to push/pull/lift 50lbs.

  • Comfortable with PPE usage for most of the day (hard hat, steel toe boots, etc.)

  • Some outdoor element work may be required, but limited
