McLaughlin Research Corporation seeks anEngineer II tosupport the Sensors and SONAR Systems Department of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport which is responsible for a full spectrum of engineering and research efforts pertaining to Sensors, SONAR, Undersea Warfare and Autonomous Vehicles. Engineering services are required for analyses, in-service engineering, prototype development, test and evaluation, and system engineering services in support of Towed, Hull and Sensor System programs. Towed Systems include developmental and in-service towed arrays, tow cables, towed array handling systems and associated signal path components. Hull and Sensor systems include hull mounted arrays, transducers, hydrophones, acoustic windows, outboard electronics, array structures and associated cabling.The Engineer II, LabVIEW software developer applies the theories and principles of science and mathematics to research and develop economical solutions to technical problems. The Engineer II, LabVIEW software developeranalyzes the impact of the products they develop or the systems they design on the environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience with LabVIEW as a graphical programming environment engineers use to develop automated research, validation, and production test systems.
  • Familiarity with LabVIEW, and the conditional statements, case statements, FFTs, filtering, PID control loops, etc.
  • Familiarity with LabVIEW use case control and/or monitoring of industrial equipment and processes, LabVIEW use case condition monitoring, and the LabVIEW system they run on, such as; aWindows-based PC and aWindows-based PXI.
  • Experience in the LabVIEW Advanced Signal Processing Toolkit.
  • Experience in the Perforce, the software used for developing and running applications, including version control software, web-based repository management, developer.
  • Bachelor's level degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • 3 years professional experience inengineering.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance required; current clearance a plus.
  • The individual should be goal-oriented and have a strong work ethic.
  • The ability to multi-task and work in a team environment is essential.
