East Bay Community Action Program Dental Hygienist and/or Community Dental Hygienist in NEWPORT, Rhode Island

East Bay Community Action Programs (EBCAP) Premier Dental Center seeks a Full-Time or Part-Time Community Dental Hygienist to provide services onsite at schools throughout upper and lower East Bay, or a Dental Hygienist for our Dental Center located at 19 Broadway in Newport, RI. Our mission is to provide high-quality, comprehensive, accessible health, dental, behavioral health, and wrap-around human services to assist people to achieve their fullest potential.

The Dental Hygienist will follow through with oral hygiene procedures in accordance with treatment plans prescribed by the attending dentist. Procedures may include prophylaxis, periodontal scaling, root planning, debridement, supra and subgingival scaling and curettage, application of fluoride treatments, and application of protective sealants. The employee is responsible for updating the patient's medical and dental history and working with the dentist to chart findings in the patient's electronic dental record.

The Community Dental Hygienist mainly involves providing treatment to pediatric patients (up to 21 years of age) at Community site either in schools or Molar Express.

The Dental Hygienist(s) requires successful graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program and must be licensed by the RI DOH as a Dental Hygienist, and be additionally licensed in the application of local anesthesia.

Candidates must be familiar with an electronic medical record and have current Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) offered by any accredited agency.

For Part-Time Employees Working 16 - 29 hours per week, EBCAP provides a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes up to 3% company matching 403(b) retirement plan, generous paid time off that includes vacation/holidays/sick time, voluntary medical and dependent care flexible spending accounts, mileage reimbursement, opportunities for center-paid training/CEUs, employee assistance program.

For Full-Time Employees Working 30 - 40 hours per week, EBCAP provides a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes heavily subsidized medical and dental insurance plans (BCBSRI), supplemental vision insurance, voluntary medical and dependent care flexible spending accounts, up to 3% company matching 403(b) retirement plan, employer-paid life insurance and long term disability, generous paid time off that includes vacation/holidays/personal days/sick time mileage reimbursement, tuition reimbursement, opportunities for center-paid training/CEUs, employee assistance programs, and more.
