Overall Job Objective:
The Marketing Specialist will support the development, implementation, and overall marketing strategy for Wolseley Industrial Group by driving customer acquisition and retention. Works with the Marketing Manager and business group to understand overall business goals and revenue targets to design and manage the implementation of marketing strategies around those goals. This position will help coordinate and execute marketing campaigns and events in alignment with the business group.
Please Note: This position can be remote. However, strong preference for candidates that will live in Hampton Roads to Richmond area for in person collaboration and meetings as needed.
Assist in development of national and regional marketing plans.
Support the marketing strategy through the implementation and execution of the annual marketing plan.
Participate in the development of customer facing marketing programs to include marketing collateral (trade print and online ads, video content), product flyers, sales enablement tools (brochures, flyers, presentations) and coordination of all other promotional programs for the business
Maintain updated sales enablement tools and coordinate implementation and distribution that supports the sales organization (e.g. sufficient supplies, reordering, Marketing & Business Intranet pages and availability on Pipeline & the e-store)
Maintain and update the intranet pages.
Act as coordinator between HQ marketing and the field teams to ensure alignment and leverage activities of both.
Assist with new acquisitions to understand the current state of marketing activities and integrate them into the national marketing plan.
Maintain and Manage Social Channels – (LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram)
Support and manage national and local email campaigns.
Coordinate and assist with website management.
Coordinate and work with third party agencies.
Assist with planning and execution of national trade shows and customer events.
Assist with the maintenance of our vendors’ digital assets.
Assist in delivering correspondence internally and externally via letter, email, etc.
Assist in reporting and analysis of promotional activities and campaigns using appropriate metrics and presentations.
Keep abreast of industry trends, competition, and new opportunities.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Management or business-related field preferred
At least 4 years related marketing experience preferred
Excellent organizational skills with strict attention to detail and accuracy
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent project management skills with the capability of collaborating with cross-functional teams and meeting deadlines in a timely manner
High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to interact with vendors and associates at all levels
Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere
Capable of analyzing solutions
Ability to embrace change

Travel – Some travel is required for customer events and trade shows. >10%
