•Duties include, but are not limited to: - reviewing consent forms - assisting the physician in completing examinations and procedures - preparing surgical trays for procedures - ensuring all medications are drawn up as needed - providing wound care and suture removal instructions to patients - providing patient education and administering medications as ordered - ensuring patient follow-up phone calls are made regarding path/lab results and other necessary treatments - documenting all laboratory or pathology results in patients’ records - cleaning medical instruments and equipment - stocking exam rooms with supplies - returning patient phone calls •Must comply with OSHA standards regarding PPE (gowns, gloves, safety goggles) when performing surgical procedures and other general patient care
