Description We are looking for an Administrative Coordinator to join our team based in Newport News, Virginia, operating in the non-profit industry. This role involves assisting with the facilities department, coordinating with building management, and handling maintenance requests.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the facilities department to ensure smooth daily operations

• Submit work order maintenance tickets as required in a timely manner

• Coordinate with building management on updates regarding repairs and maintenance works

• Ensure all administrative tasks are handled efficiently and effectively

• Utilize basic office skills to manage and organize necessary documents and records

• Provide excellent customer service, addressing any inquiries or issues promptly

• Handle maintenance requests, coordinating necessary actions to address them

• Maintain open and effective lines of communication with all members of the organization.

This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Requirements • Must have at least one year of experience in an administrative role within the non-profit industry

• Demonstrated ability to perform basic office tasks, including filing, scheduling, and record keeping

• Proven customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with various stakeholders

• Experience handling maintenance requests, including logging requests, coordinating with service providers, and following up to ensure completion

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

• A commitment to the goals and values of the non-profit sector

• Willingness to participate in ongoing detail oriented development and training.
