James R. Glidewell Dental Ceramics Maintenance Technician 111 in Newport Beach, California

Essential Functions:

  • Performs electrical, mechanical, plumbing, painting and refrigeration operations including, but not limited to installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining commercial and industrial equipment.
  • Performs regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Responds to work requests by performing and completing general facilities repairs in a timely manner.
  • Maintains and repairs various machinery and equipment.
  • Maintains a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and wearing protective equipment as required.
  • Performs routine checks and evaluates necessary maintenance to the facilities.
  • Provides recommendations for facilities improvements.
  • Maintains and organizes spare parts and consumables.
  • Performs minor construction and installation of fixtures and accessories.
  • Trains internal team members.
  • Responds quickly in the event of an emergency, notifying appropriate personnel and following safety protocols.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in facilities maintenance and repairs.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a building maintenance field required (i.e., electrical, carpentry, plumbing).

Special Requirements/Certification:

  • Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
  • Certification of apprenticeship in plumbing, electrical, HVAC and/or refrigeration.

Communication Skills:

  • Must possess proficient English skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must possess effective oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel in a professional and effective manner.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and general stakeholders in initiatives.
  • Ability to read reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to create and compose written materials with proper English grammar and punctuation.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with employees, management, and team members.
  • Ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a multi-cultural business environment.
  • Demonstrated active listening skills.

Pay Range:$22.00 to $26.00/hr.
