Big Canyon Country Club is a private country club that fosters a culture focused on the growth and development of its team, all while providing the best in hospitality and experiences for its members and their families.

Front Server- Part Time

The Front Server will assist members by placing food and drink orders, provide information about daily specials, and oversee ongoing table maintenance. This position requires attention to detail, follow through, and the ability to multitask while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor. Please note Big Canyon Country Club has a non-gratuity policy.

Duties & Expectations

  • Must have knowledge of a la carte dining, as well as wines and spirits service

  • Must have a basic understanding of wines & spirits

  • Responds to Member inquiries about food preparation, cocktails, courses, and chef specialties, all while accurately recording their orders

  • Identifying Members’ special dietary needs and special requests in the POS

  • Keep kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression in the POS

  • Running food from expo line to tables and bar

  • Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, and refilling water glasses

  • Ensure that the Members are completely satisfied with the food served

  • Accurately charge members for items purchased

  • Prepare room for dining by polishing silver, setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils

  • Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience required

  • Ability to do wine service at table side while maintaining professionalism and engaging in conversation with member(s)

  • Intermediate knowledge of service styles and e tiquette such as appropriate table settings, the sequence of service & wine service

  • Must have previous knowledge on a Point of Sale system (POS)

  • Must be available to work weekends, evenings, holidays and special events

  • 2+ years of serving experience preferred

  • Fine dining experience preferred

  • Possess a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with all departments and members
