Wilcox Industries QC Mechanical Inspector - Incoming (On-Site) in Newington, New Hampshire

We are currently seeking a full-time Incoming Quality Control Mechanical Inspector to work Monday through Friday day shift. Reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance, the Quality Control Mechanical Inspector will work with the Engineering and Purchasing Groups to provide support.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Enforce the Quality Management Systems.

  • Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests of incoming product from outside suppliers/vendors. 

  • Inspects materials, parts, and products at incoming from supplier or outside services. 

  • Must be able to read blueprints and follow directions.

  • Understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

  • Have a working knowledge of measuring instruments such as: Micrometers, Vernier, Calipers, Micro-Hite, Optical Comparator, Hardness Tester, etc.

  • Apply statistical process control.

  • Handle nonconforming products.

  • Collection and retention of Quality Records.

  • Communicate with internal parties on matters relating to the Quality System and ISO 9001:2015 certification.

  • Other duties as assigned. 

    Qualifications and Requirements

  • 2-5 years’ experience in a high paced Quality Role preferred, manufacturing experience a plus.

  • Ability to read and understand technical specifications and engineering drawings.

  • Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

  • Working knowledge of measuring instruments.

  • Experience with PC-DMIS (CMM) a plus.

  • Proficient in data collection, analysis.

  • Computer skills with MS word, Excel.

  • Experience with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.

  • Regular on-site attendance is a necessary function of this position.
