Newington, CT

Pay : $26-$34/hour, (dependent on experience)

Bonus Potential: 5%

  • Knowledge of equipment rental business highly preferred

  • Excellent organizational, coordinating and multi-tasking skills (High level of task management)

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)

  • PC Proficient (Including high proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office and other software)

  • Ability to negotiate and close deals

    Responsibilities

    A positive customer experience through the timely processing of rental business

  • Coordinate necessary paperwork to get the rental in motion

  • Secure credit approval

  • Coordinate activity with the appropriate yard person

  • Arrange transport if necessary

  • Set up agreement and pre-ship in DBS/IRS

  • Communicate status of rental with customer and assigned sales rep

    Growth of the rental business through the proper handling of 1-800-RENTCAT

  • Professionally quote rates and close business to maximize utilization and revenue

  • Provide customers with professional recommendations on equipment options as well as pricing and availability data to meet customers' rental needs

  • Utilize phone log entries, prospect lists and other customer information to promote sales growth

  • Process orders in a timely manner

  • Notify branches of rental activity each day

    Maximized availability through coordination of rental readiness with the yard person

  • Ensure the machines are ready to rent and noted accordingly in DBS/IRS

  • Ensure that DBS/IRS accurately reflects work tools associated with machine

  • Utilize rental call off procedure to maintain inventory accuracy and availability

  • Make full use of the features and reporting mechanisms of the current inventory control system to contribute to effective Penn Rents' equipment asset management

  • Perform periodic yard walks/inventories of assigned branches

    Customer satisfaction through the coordination of final rental billing

  • Work closely with the billing department and Rental Manager to ensure accuracy of billing

  • Manage the shipping & receiving process for rental machines & attachments to maintain accurate records/billing

  • Work with sales reps and customers to communicate/present rental machine damage or neglect charges

  • Ensure that all transactions are handled in accordance with current cash account and credit policies

    Qualifications

    Physical Requirements:

  • Standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time
