Job Description:

Office Coordinator

  • Provides excellent customer service performing clerical tasks related to assisting providers and patients within the medical office.

  • Greets patients in a professional courteous manner at all times.

  • Updates patient information including demographics, insurance updates and making necessary changes.

  • Performs all front-office duties including, but not limited to: Check-in and check-out of patients, answering telephones, scheduling appointments, and collecting co-payments at time of check-in.

  • Accurately records all patients seen at the time of service, cancelling or no-showing appointments within the schedule each day to ensure accuracy in patient/provider schedule.

  • Enters daily cash received and running daily end of day sheet to go to business office for cash deposits ensuring accuracy of cash for the day.

  • Confirms upcoming appointments with correct date, time and location of appointment. Notifies patient of payment obligation.

  • Routes incoming mail to appropriate departments and personnel daily.

Minimum Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum Work Experience

  • A minimum of one-year similar experience in a medical administrative role preferred
