We are seeking a reliable and motivated Shift Lead/Head Cashier to join our store leadership team. The Shift Lead will play a critical role in assisting supervising daily operations during their assigned shift. This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of performance. You lead by example when delivering exceptional customer service and teach others to do the same. You are a true team player possessing the ability to adapt to all roles within the store. Store employees receive a 15% discount on most merchandise and save $.20 per gallon on fuel.

    What will I do as a Shift Lead/Head Cashier?

  • Greet every customer with a smile, thanking them for their business, and inviting them back.

  • Perform the role of the Cashier by accurately ringing up sales and merchandise, offering our customer applicable qualifying discounts/promotions when needed.

  • Provide fast and friendly service, while helping build awareness of our products and services.

  • Ensure cleanliness, inside and outside the store including islands and pumps.

  • Properly label, rotate and stock shelves, coolers, and displays.

  • Effectively manage foodservice and beverage programs to ensure maximization of sales.

  • Check in and communicate with vendors as required.

  • Lead completion of key store projects; providing information and assistance where needed.

  • Locate coverage and work with minor scheduling changes due to absences and communicate issues and changes with Store Manager.

  • Partner with Store and Assistant Managers to help develop and motivate team members.

  • Ensure compliance with all cities, county, state, and federal laws affecting store operations including alcohol, tobacco, and Lotto sales.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

  • Must be legal age to sell regulated products including alcohol and tobacco - NV only - Legal age to work around slot machines.

    Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for an extended period.

  • While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen.

  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.

  • Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
